Completed projects

Medical journals for Peradeniya

As Australian National University’s library moved to online journals, it removed a large collection of printed medical journals for the second time. AAUPCC recognised the opportunity, having previously seen the value of these resources to medical students in Sri Lanka.

In consultation with the University of Peradeniya’s Medical Faculty, AAUPCC arranged to ship the journals and raised funds with its members’ help to cover the shipping costs. The cargo left Sydney in mid-November and reached the Medical Faculty Library on 3 January 2013.

The University of Peradeniya’s Vice-Chancellor, Dean of the Medical Faculty and Librarian expressed their appreciation for AAUPCC’s contribution.
